Pastor Terry

Pastor Terry Richardson grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree (Anthropology major) from the University of Alberta, and his Master of Divinity degree from Lutheran Theological Seminary, Saskatoon, SK. He was ordained in 1981. Before coming to Hope Lutheran Church, he served congregations in Vermilion & Mannville, Alberta; and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and has been involved in prison chaplaincy with the Correctional Service of Canada since 1990. He served as Protestant Chaplain, Rockwood Institution, Stony Mountain, MB; Protestant Chaplain, Regional Psychiatric Centre, Saskatoon, SK; Regional Chaplain, Prairie Region (Saskatoon); Associate to the Director General Chaplaincy, NHQ (Ottawa); and most recently as Director General, Chaplaincy & Restorative Justice. He is delighted to be called as Pastor for Hope Lutheran Church, Nanaimo.
